Yu Chiyeoung is an employee of Shadow.
Appearance[]
Yu Chiyeoung is a thin man with a long face and a turf of cropped hair dyed green. He is usually seen dressed in a blue jumper.
Personality[]
Chiyeoung in most cases appears to be nonchalant about the affairs of the greater world, but at times he can get short-tempered and easily carried-away by geopolitical fervour.
History[]
When a member of Anonymous, Chiyeoung got in trouble with the authorities after decrypting spy documents, and later found refuge under Shadow’s employ.

Chiyeoung was present at Shadow’s opening ceremony, where he raised questions to Sin Yunseong about the duty of the organisation. He was also one of the employees invited to attend the house party held at the home office of Eric Sin.
During the evacuation from the secret Shadow headquarters in the midst of Nine Dragons’ attack, Chiyeoung protected by Han Yewon’s shielding fought alongside Johnson to provide covering fire for Gang Daehyeop and Sin Taepung who were holding back the horde of Marionettes.
Afterwards when Park Jinoh called a meeting at the hospital to take stock of their situation, Chiyeoung subsequent to hearing from Violet Ella Wong Perez and Yewon about Yamato’s plan to turn masses of gamers into Marionettes came across the mad scientist’s interview declaring the release of tens of millions of Dream Skulls worldwide on ‘D-Day’. He later stayed in the backup facility made into a temporary headquarters to hack into Nine Dragons’ servers, where he discovered emails uncovering the existence of the real release event Yamato was going to personally participate at. Chiyeoung also installed a Berserker Program into the Oracle worn by Daehyeop to keep him from being mind controlled by Sakura Yui despite its risks.
Following Yamato’s capture and his inability to access the satellite network linked to the Dream Skulls, Chiyeoung analysed the notebook computer used by Yamato and discovered that he had actually taken control over every satellite in space to transmit Charyeok signals by creating Ouroboros which was now usurped by Hajime Ryo. After Jinoh’s arrest by the South Korean government who started seeing Shadow as a threat, Chiyeoung managed to slip out alongside Yewon before going to warn Daehyeop and Violet. Escaping the police with the help of Yun Taesu, Chiyeoung joined the others along with Taepung at Eric’s home office, where they heard the news about Nine Dragons starting a yakuza war in Nagoya. Chiyeoung thus designed two AI viruses, one for deactiviating the Dream Skulls and the other for either taking over or destroying the Ouroboros. As the team for heading to Japan got ready upon the return of Yunseong, Chiyeoung handed the viruses to Yewon for her to insert into the Nine Dragons computer system, explaining that he was letting her make the choice of what to do with the Ouroboros.
After the destruction of the Ouroboros, Chiyeoung went ahead and ensured that all of the Dream Skulls were deactivated.
