Introduction[]

Jin Mori, Han Daewi and Yu Mira participate in God Of High School Tournament and the Preliminary Rounds of the Capital Area begins.

Plot[]

Preliminary round[]

Mo-Ri and Man-Suk Clashing

Mo-Ri clashes with Man-Suk.

All the contestants are gathered for the Capital area preliminaries and get introduced. Shim Bong-Sa instructs the contestants to inject nanoparticles into their blood to prevent them from harming themselves, then orders the group to fight. The match begins, and many weak fighters band together to defeat others. The strong contestants reveal themselves as those that don't panic about their power levels. Gang Man-Suk enters the arena late in a straightjacket and is labeled the front-runner due to his superior power level.

Mira tries to fight Man-Suk, but the latter dodges her attack efficiently, even while tied in a straightjacket. Man-Suk kicks Mo-Ri resulting in a few broken ribs, but he manages to break the former's ankle too. After taking Mi-Ra's sword, Mo-Ri takes it from Man-Suk, resulting in their fight. Until the end of their match, Man-Suk and Mo-Ri fight toe to toe, but before the final kick, Mi-Ra jumps and breaks Mo-Ri's neck for holding her precious sword in his mouth. He manages to stay conscious, thus qualifying, and gets healed by the nurses using nanotechnology. With this, the preliminary round end.

Mi-Ra slap Mo-Ri

Mi-Ra slaps Mo-Ri.

Jin Mo-Ri, Yu Mi-Ra, and Han Dae-Wi walk together back home from the preliminaries because they live in the same direction. The purse snatcher from Chapter 4's older brother appears with his biker gang to attack the trio for what they did to his brother. After they beat up the biker gang, one of the bikers throws a lighter, which causes a motorcycle to explode. Mo-Ri shields Mi-Ra from the blast, sacrificing his back to get burned. She slaps him and tells him to go away when he stops her from jumping off a bridge to save her sword that got sent flying in the blast. He returns later to help her look for the sword in the river. Dae-Wi and the biker gang (against their will) come to help too. Eventually, her sword gets found.

ROUND OF 16[]

GOH ch10 p11

Man-Suk bullies Gam-Do.

Yu Mi-Ra, Han Dae-Wi, and Jin Mo-Ri easily move on to the Round of 16 in the Preliminary Finals. In the next fight, Go Gam-Do instantly gets the upper hand on Gang Man-Suk, forcing him to remove one of his arms from his straight jacket to block a kick. Once he has one arm free, he begins to dominate Gam-Do using dirty tactics. Judge P reveals that his fighting technique is Northern ITF Taekwondo. A brief history of Northern ITF Taekwondo and Gang Man-Suk is given by Judge P.

Man-Suk continues to bully Gam-Do until he is attacked by Jin Mo-Ri who had entered the ring, thus forfeiting his tournament. Man-Suk angrily lunges at Mo-Ri only to get launched away. On kicking him, Mo-Ri's level changes from 6 to 13. The Judges apprehend Mo-Ri. Another flashback of Man-Suk getting his powers is seen, followed by him taking off his heavy pants and attacking, but Mo-Ri meets his attack with a kick and then finishes him with his 3 Stage Round Kick. Jin Mo-Ri is taken out of the ring to cheers as the judges discuss whether he is the one they've been searching for. Moon Gi-Joo realizes that Mo-Ri is a user of Renewal Taekwondo, the perfect counter to Northern ITF Taekwondo and that he learned it from an old man that has evaded capture and defeated the former Taekwondo master. He asks to call for Park Mubong.

Mubong and Taejin[]

After Judge O refused to break up the fight because it was after his work hours, Park Mu-Bong appears to stop the fight himself. It is revealed that he is a member of The Six and the Moon Gi-Joo was an apprentice of The Six. Mu-Bong reveals that earlier the six were appointed to defeat and capture Jin Taejin on the day of The degradation of the cultural assets. It is also revealed that it was on that day that Taejin gave Mu-Bong the scar on his head and Moon Gi-Joo the scar near his left eye.

After learning of Mo-Ri's connection with Renewal Taekwondo, Mu-Bong interrogates Mo-Ri about Jin Tae-Jin. To his shock, Mo-Ri gives an honest and complete answer to every question, revealing that he is Tae-Jin's grandson and that he had said to him that he was found under the bridge at Mount Baekdu. A military unit enters Jin Taejin's living place but is easily defeated by him. Park Mu-Bong manages to get into contact with him and attempts to threaten him with Mo-Ri but he laughs this off saying Mo-Ri could break every bone in Mu-Bong's body.

The judges decide that Judge Q would fight Mo-Ri in a match and if he wins he will be allowed to continue.

ROUND OF 8[]

Ma Mi-Sun and Yu Mira discuss about their wishes. Later Mi-Sun is revealed to have a power level of 10 as she easily moves into the Round of 8. Yu Mi-Ra and Ma Mi-Sun begin their fight in the Round of 8. Ma Mi-Sun takes the early advantage because of her better durability and throws out Mi-Ra's wooden sword. Now sword-less, Mi-Ra takes a sword-less stance and demonstrates her ability to cut using only her hands. Despite not being injured and Mi-Ra being severely hurt, Mi-Sun forfeits because she doesn't want to use the wish the judges promised her on mending her cut body.

White Tiger Dance

White Tiger Dance.

Baek Seung-Chul uses a very unorthodox attacking style to defeat Yoo Sang-Min to move into the Round of 8. Han Dae-Wi and Baek Seung-Chul enter the ring to start their Round of 8 fight. Baek Seung-Chul recalls his childhood where he idolized his father who was a detective that caught criminals with a baseball bat, how his father died later in the hands of a criminal and his own aspirations. Seung-Chul has an upper hand on Dae-Wi until he slips on Dae-Wi's blood and sweats on the ground. However, to Seung-Chul's surprise, Dae-Wi refuses to attack resulting in a direct attack on his head. Instead, he attempts to help Seung-Chul up since it would be unfair to attack him while he was falling. This kindness reminds Seung-Chul of his father, which angers him into using his signature, Douze Lance de Combat and Soixante-Douze Lance de Combat. But Dae-Wi counters with his own techinque, Full Contact Karate: Secret Art of the Four Guardian Gods. He uses the three stages, The Fist of Black Turtle, The Kick of Red Phoenix and The Dance of White Tiger, Seung-Chul uses his interpretation of the 3 Stage Round Kick to counter the attack but soon gets overwhelmed, but Dae-Wi manages to overpower him. The match ends with Dae-Wi as the winner.

A flashback is shown from 17 years ago of The degradation of the cultural assets. After winning, Jin Taejin removes the arm of one of the members of The Six because the member was especially annoying to Tae-Jin.

Jin Mo-Ri is required to stay in the building until his fight. He will fight Judge Q overnight the night before the fight. In the middle of the night, Mo-Ri wakes up and goes off to find something to eat when he hears a voice calling. After entering a certain room that allows him only after checking his GP value, Mo-Ri comes across an old man. who begs him to free him. Though initially reluctant, Mo-Ri frees the old man after eating a mysterious fruit and entering his grandfather's name in a computer to unlock to lock. The man incredulously asks if Mo-Ri even knew who that man was to which Mo-Ri explains his relation to him, in response to which the man stabs Mo-Ri with his finger and reveals that he is Na Bong-Chim, The Divine Doctor, of the Six and that he was the one who had his arm torn off by Tae-Jin.

Na Bong-Chim wants to kill Jin Mo-Ri but decides not to because Mo-Ri managed to attack him right as he attacked, and since Mo-Ri had eaten the divine pellet, he believes Mo-Ri to be a dead man soon, so he leaves his fate to heaven. [[

Mori v/s Judge Q[]

Judge Q's joker attack

Judge Q's joker attack.

Mo-Ri wakes up after falling unconscious from Bong-Chim's and rushes to the arena and makes it right before they call the fight. He gets informed that he only needs to knock down Judge Q once to win. As soon as the match starts, Q attacks Mo-Ri, who steps into the attack, removes Judge Q's glasses, as he refuses to hit someone with glasses, and then trips Judge Q to win the match, to everyone's surprise. He also comments that he feels like his body is burning. Judge Q gets up from Jin Mo-Ri's attack and lunges at him despite the fight being over. Mo-Ri proceeds to kick Judge Q constantly on his head while knocked down, very differently from his typical personality.

Elsewhere, Na Bong-Chim and Park Mu-Bong fight over their past disputes. After exhausting themselves, Mu-Bong plays a recording of his conversation with Bong-Chim 17 years ago. In the recording, Bong-Chim asks Mu-Bong, as he is cocky, to keep an eye on him until he is ready to take the Divine Pellets. He explains that the Divine Pellets bring the power hidden within someone, but eating it while not being ready can result in losing all rationality or death, explaining why Mo-Ri had been acting differently.

Fed up with the embarrassment he's facing, Judge Q stops Mo-Ri's attack with a single finger. Some people in the audience see the GP in their Nanotech bracelets going the highest, which is 2500. Q uses an unnamed attack that forms a joker-like appearance to defeat Mo-Ri and kill him according to Judge P and Bong-Chim, who had just arrived. However, to their surprise, Mo-Ri awakes. He begins walking toward the judges lifelessly. Judge R steps forward and knocks out Mo-Ri right as he was proclaiming that he was hungry.

After treating Mo-Ri, Na Bong-Chim begins looking into why he hadn't died from the divine pellet and believes Jin Tae-Jin did something to him or that he has a body that can't be filled with a single pellet. Mo-Ri wakes up from Bong-Chim's acupuncture treatment completely healed wondering how it is that he felt so good. Bong-Chim and Park Mubong meet and discuss the reason behind the God Of High School Tournament which Mu-Bong associates it to a certain group's sudden activities. He also informs Bong-Chim that The Six have been summoned.

Jin Tae-Jin gets approached by a mysterious hooded figure that attempts to attack him. Tae-Jin realizes this and defeats him instantly. However, the man begins to swell and then blow up, harming Tae-Jin's left arm. A lot of hooded people are seen in a place. One of them, sitting on a chair, tells others their plan was a success and that Tae-Jin will be with him soon.

Mira's wedding[]

Jin Mo-Ri, Yu Mi-Ra, and Han Dae-Wi are walking together down a busy street when they notice another purse-snatcher. As they start chasing the purse snatcher, a man who had been observing Mi-Ra takes after the purse snatcher too. He quickly surpasses Mo-Ri and Mi-Ra and stops the purse-snatcher using Mi-Ra's sword. He introduces himself as the chairman of the Ohsung Group, a very influential Korean business, and then suddenly proposes to Mi-Ra, proclaiming love at first sight.

Mira reminisces her past

Mira reminisces her past.

At her house, Mi-Ra overhears her uncle and cousin in a heated argument because her cousin doesn't want to have to wear Mi-Ra's hand-me-downs since Mi-Ra isn't even really a part of the family. Mi-Ra recalls all the times from her childhood when her uncle selflessly devoted his time to her despite how busy he was. After coming across her family's bills, Mi-Ra calls the man and tells him she will marry him under certain circumstances. Jin Mori and Han Daewi visit Mi-Ra, asking about the marriage. Mi-Ra informs them that she won't be participating anymore, as no one knows the time of getting the promised wish. She abruptly closes the door, Daewi drags Mo-Ri away, and Mi-Ra's cousin notices this.

At the wedding, it gets revealed that the man's name is Oh Sung-Jin. He has stationed guards all over the cathedral and has invited only a few relatives. Mi-Ra's uncle recalls when her father passed away, but she refused to cry because she had to carry on his legacy, for which she had to stay strong. He sees her, now holding back tears because of the life she's going to throw away. He goes and confronts Sung-Jin and asks him to cancel the wedding, proposing that he will pay back everything himself. It is here that Sung-Jin reveals his true nature. He explains that he has already registered their marriage and condemns Mi-Ra's uncle as a common peasant and has him dragged away.

Sung-Min recalls the past meeting with the same mysterious people that Jin Tae-Jin fought with, telling them that the sword Mi-Ra had, was most certainly Bong-Seon, a National Treasure. He confirmed his belief that it was a National Treasure when he grabbed it while defeating the purse snatcher. Mi-Ra's cousin hears Sung-Min when his personality has changed and thinks back about Mi-Ra. She takes off to alert Mi-Ra of who she's marrying but gets heard by Oh Sung-Jin, who alerts guards to capture her. She tells Mi-Ra about him, but Mi-Ra doesn't care about this new information since she plans to use the marriage for her own gains anyway. It gets revealed that Mi-Ra agreed to marry Sung-Jin if he financially supported her family and helped prolong the Moon Light Sword Style.

Oh Sung-Jin2

Oh Sung-Jin's samurai attack.

Mi-Ra's cousin runs off to do something about this marriage, where she bumps into Jin Mo-Ri, who come to stop the wedding. She tells him about Sung-Jin. Reassuringly, Mo-Ri tells her he'll deal with the situation. He attempts to move past guards peacefully since he promised Han Dae-Wi that he wouldn't use violence, so Dae-Wi appears to help Mo-Ri since he also desired to stop the wedding. Both of them, along with Mi-Ra's family, manage to convince her that she should what she desires herself. She briefly fights his Sung-Jin and his samurai shaped attack but the church soon collapses on itself. Her uncle convinces her that he will take care of everything, which is by getting arrested, and to live her own life.

The three of them, go to get themself healed by the nurses in the stadium, where Dae-Wi regrets going to stop Mi-Ra as he sees that he will be fighting her in the next match.

Semi-finals[]

Daewi fights Mira

Daewi fights Mira.

Right before Han Dae-Wi and Yu Mi-Ra's fight, Jin Mo-Ri tells Mi-Ra about the wound she received and that it would not be healed by Nanotech, just like the ones he got from Na Bongchim and Judge Q. He also informs her that he won't be watching match since both of them are his friends. After he leaves, Mi-Ra texts him giving him thanks for stopping her wedding. When Mo-Ri sees this, he sprints to the arena where he sees the conclusion of their fight. Dae-Wi attacks her wounded area mercilessly, winning the match, and claims he never thought of them as friends in the first place. It is revealed that Dae-Wi's friend is verging closer and closer to death, so he confronted Park Mu-Bong about the possibility of getting his wish early. Mu-Bong tells him he can get his wish if he wins the Capital District in a convincing fashion.

Jin Mo-Ri begins his fight with Byun Jae-Hee with a 3-Stage Round Kick which Jae-Hee counters by moving into the attack and gains a Mounted Position. Jae-Hee reveals the weakness of Mo-Ri's attack to him, but he loses his favorable positioning when Mo-Ri pulls on his hoodie, gagging him. Mo-Ri tries the 3-Stage Round Kick again but this time instead of aiming for the head, he aims for the feet then, using his Dragon Catcher move, propels Jae-Hee into the air before launching him back to the ground, making Jae-Hee spin on the ground. Jae-Hee counters this and tries to attack one last time, but Mo-Ri uses his final attack, True Round Kick, on Jae-Hee that whips up a vortex. He saves Jae-Hee from it after seeing that he is already unconscious. With the match won, he tells Dae-Wi he wished to have to not use this ultimate skill of Renewal Taekwondo.

Dae-Wi seeks help from Baek Seung-Chul about his research on Renewal Taekwondo ahead of their Capital Area Preliminary Finals match. He uses the last form of Kyokushin Secrets: Art Of the Four Guardian Gods on Seung-Chul as a practice, to which the latter remarks that it is enough to kill the opponent. While visiting Woo Seungtae, Dae-Wi remembers his Master who had said him that it was Renewal Taekwondo which humiliated him the most and instructed him to kill it's user when he meets one. The Judges reveal that the winner of the other districts have been chosen.

The finale: Daewi v/s Mori[]

The battle begins and even though Mo-Ri has an upper hand at the beginning, Dae-Wi manages to land hits along with using some cheap tactics, trying to affect Mo-Ri's left leg. In the end he tries to land the final stage of Kyokushin Secrets: Art Of the Four Guardian Gods, Wave of Blue Dragon. Mo-Ri attempts to land a True Round Kick and they ultimately land simultaneous hits. Mo-Ri collapses in a bloody heap from the attack whereas Dae-Wi only takes minor damage as the kick didn't reach him. Mo-Ri manages to get up right before the count of 10, which ends the round; the first of 5. Mo-Ri promises Dae-Wi that he'll make him use that attack again in the next round.

Elsewhere, Woo Seungtae's pulse starts falling and the nurse calls his family to prepare themselves.

Mu-Bong tells Dae-Wi something in between rounds. As the round starts, it is revealed that Mo-Ri has less remaining health than Dae-Wi. They begin to exchange blows again until Dae-Wi uses the Art Of Four Guardian Gods attack again. When he unleashes The Wave of Blue Dragon, Mo-Ri connects a True Round Kick that defeats Dae-Wi while only taking minimal damage. Seung-Chul realizes that The Wave of Blue Dragon is just an unleashing of the air obtained from the previous three attacks. To combat this, Mo-Ri scraped the ground, getting dust into the air, neutralizing the shock.

JIn Mori Original: The kick of Blue Dragon.

It is revealed that Mu-Bong had told Dae-Wi that Woo Seung-Tae had died and that even if he hadn't, he wouldn't have fulfilled Dae-Wi's wish since he wasn't impressive. Dismayed that he couldn't spend the final moments with his friend and that he isn't strong, Dae-Wi's HP hits 0, but Round 2 ended right before Dae-Wi lost all his health, so he is allowed to compete in the next round. Dae-Wi is completely exhausted and is unable to recover enough. As Round 3 starts, Mo-Ri begins to pummel Dae-Wi using only his hands because he has an injured foot while Dae-Wi blocks with only one arm since he hurt the other one at some point.

Suddenly, Mi-Ra storms into the arena just as Mo-Ri is about to land the finishing blow to give Dae-Wi something. To the fans and Shim Bong-Sa's condemnation, Dae-Wi reads a letter from Woo Seung-Tae in the middle of the fight as Mo-Ri stands off to the side. It is revealed that Park Mubong actually tried healing him with Nanotech but it didn't work out. The letter motivates him to continue to fight, setting up the finale of the fight, unable to lift one of his arms. They both exchange blows for a while. Mo-Ri counters The Kick Of Red Phoenix with a Ground Drawer. Dae-Wi counters 3-Stage Round Kick with Fist of Black Turtle. As a final attempt, Dae-Wi uses the energy from Mo-Ri's True Round Kick to release The Wave of Blue Dragon which Mo-Ri barely manages to withstand. Dae-Wi also levels up after this. Inspired by this attack, Mo-Ri unleashes his own new technique Mori Jin Original: The Kick Of Blue Dragon to finally defeat Dae-Wi. The match ends with Mo-Ri as the winner.

Dae-Wi reflects back on his time with Seung-Tae and proudly tells him that he has friends now.

A man over-watching their fight says he had come to see who was it to beat Gang Man-Suk but came to the conclusion that Jin Mo-Ri was just as weak as Man-Suk.

T's murder[]

Judge T is killed

Judge T is killed.

Jin Mo-Ri and Yu Mi-Ra go back to their daily lives. While shopping, Mi-Ra runs into Shim Bong-Sa and his family. When Mi-Ra walks away, Bong-Sa confronts a man that had been spying on her. Latter, The man that had been spying on Mi-Ra is revealed to have killed Shim Bong-Sa.

Moon Gi-Joo and Park Mu-Bong discuss how the champions in other districts have been getting killed one by one. Mu-Bong decides to order matches between 3rd and 4th place finishers so that the teams for the National Tournament can be made. The National Tournament will be held in a 3v3 battle style, so the top three finishers in each district will move onto Nationals.

Jin Tae-Jin is confronted by a mass amount of the hooded people who prepare to fight him.

Dragon10

Taejin's True Round Kick.

Jin Tae-Jin is confronted by a vast number of the hooded people. Despite the injury to his arm nagging him, he kills all members of the group weaker than priests. When the priests join the fight, he kills all but three of them with a single Round Kick, explaining that he didn't want to use it as it destroys the nature. When the three remaining priests who he dubs strong prepare to attack again, the man leading the hooded figures steps forward to fight Tae-Jin. Using his power, he unleashes a colossal sword down from the heavens at Tae-Jin who simply scoffs at him for using such a technique. Traveling on a plane, Park Mubong also notices the sword. Tae-Jin prepares to launch a True Round Kick.

Park Mu-Bong investigates the location of Jin Tae-Jin's fight with the mysterious organization and questions just how powerful the organization had become. Back at the arena, Yu Mi-Ra and Byun Jae-Hee prepare to fight for 3rd place. While cheering on Mi-Ra, Jin Mo-Ri gets pulled aside and told that his grandfather had disappeared and that his blood was found at the location of his fight. Mo-Ri shrugs this off however and shows concern for those fighting Tae-Jin than Tae-Jin himself.

Mu-Bong calls Na Bong-Chim to tell him that they must call The Six together because of the danger this group imposes on them. It is then revealed that at the location of Tae-Jin's fight, he lost his arm that had taken previous damage. Three other members of The Six get the notification to meet at their various locations of business.

Mi-Ra wins her fight against Jae-Hee to join Mo-Ri and Dae-Wi in the national tournament. Some of the competitors of the National Tournament are then seen.
