Right Flamingo: Three-Pronged Strike is the original form of 3rd Stance Hwechook, using right flamingo as an attack stance to deliver three kicks in a row from either left or right, followed by straight away from the opposite direction, then from behind. If the victim flinches and tries to evade by going backwards, damage increases. The technique's purpose it to shake the opponent's brain with the first and second kick and finish the opponent with the third.

Trivia[]

Renewal Taekwondo adapted this move into two techniques, 3rd Stance Hwechook and Gor Yo.

  • 3rd Stance Hwechook retained the principle, kicking the opponent's head three times in a row to shake the brain and finish them. The difference is Renewal makes use of Hwechook so the readying stance isn't too noticeable to the opponent.
  • Gor Yo retained the overall form of the technique, although the users are not bound by the right flamingo stance (Jin Mo-Ri used right legs while Namgung Hyun used left).
