Ryu Hyeonbok (류현복, Ryu Hyeon-Bok; "Hyeonbok Ryu") was the third place of Jeonranamdo Province regional G.O.H Tournament.
Appearance[]
Hyeonbok has grey, short hair and brown eyes. He is only wearing an undershirt and trousers.
Personality[]
He is very meek and timid when it comes to fighting. However, he defeats one of the Chungcheongbuk-do Team participants after an encouragement from Ilpyo.
Plot[]
Nationals[]
Hyeonbok came 3rd in the G.O.H Competition of Jeollanam-do, and thus was chosen to participate in the National Competition of South Korea along with Park Seungah and Park Ilpyo. Their first match was against the Chungcheongnam-do Team. Hyeonbok fought in the first round against Cha Seokwoo, winning with the advice of Ilpyo. Ilpyo then advised him to withdraw, but Hyeonbok chose to continue fighting. He was easily defeated by Nam Gungdo. Hyeonbok's team still wins the match, thanks to Ilpyo.
Hyeonbok is seen next in the match against Chungcheongbuk-do Team. He first fights against (and beats) Na Gidong, using Leverage Guard. He also decides to continue thanks to encouragement from Ilpyo. He fights against Jang Jangmi, and although she uses her Charyeok, Hyeonbok is still able to beat her, by switching his style. Because the leader of the Chungcheongbuk-do Team doesn't turn up, Jeollanam-do Team wins.
During the fight between the Metropolitan Team and Jeollanam-do Team, for the place in the finals, Hyeonbok once again fights first, now against Jin Mori. Hyeonbok doesn't stand a chance against Mori, but still manages to break his finger, to prevent him from using Nabong Needle Ryu, before he is beaten. Jeollanam-do Team eventually ends up losing the match.
Later after the loss of Jeollanam-do Team, while in the infirmary with Seungah, Ilpyo and Mori, the battle between Jegal Taek and a Greed-possessed Jeon Jugok bursts in. Jugok absorbs Hyeonbok and Seungah, but they are freed when Taek kills Jugok with his own Greed. In the process, Taek also bites off Hyeonbok's fingers and Seungah's ankle, as collateral. This leads to only Ilpyo fighting against Taek, for the second place in the finals.
Hyeonbok's fingers are seemingly returned by Kim Ungnyeo's power.
Abilities[]
After defeating Cha Seokwoo, he continues on fighting with Nam Gungdo only to tire the latter before his fight with Park Seungah. Park Ilpyo mentioned that he is growing at an exceptional rate.[2] Jin Mori also recognizes this potential as he immediately ended their match with Dragon Sign Hwechook, as he felt that Ryu Hyeonbok's last attack might defeat him.

Ryu Hyeonbok trained himself in boxing.
- Leverage Guard: A defensive position in which one arm is bent to triangular shape while the other is stretched towards his opponent to stop opponent's attack.
- Style Switch: Hyeonbok can change his boxing style, to catch the opponent of guard.
