They are sacred objects used primarily by extremely powerful gods and demons to control and seal their own powers or those of others. It has also been seen that they have been used by some humans.
Appearances[]
The main shape of the headbands is that of a bow that is shaped like a white metal ring that seems to simulate a crown. It is seen floating around the forehead of the wearer.
History[]
It is a sacred object used (and supposedly created) by the supreme god Buddha to seal the divine/demonic powers of Sun Wukong as punishment for his rebellion against the heavenly realm, it is also a security measure to ensure that Jin Mori protects Tang Sanzang during his trip to India.
Jin Mori's loop is broken in his fight against Satan during RagnarÖk, but 17 years later, Park Mubong manages to get it back in perfect condition.
Park Mubong recovers the diadem 17 years after RagnarÖk.
It is later revealed that the true power of the loop is not to seal the power of gods and demons, but to control it. Park Mubong uses the loop on himself to control the Tathagata's power, initially to kill him, but later to use it for the sake of his own ambitions.
During the battle between humans and demons against Park Mubong and his followers we were introduced to new Loops of Binding used by the Four Pillars.
Tang Sanzang gave a new Loop of Binding to Dan Mori during his final battle against Park Mubong.
17 years later, Park Tejin had a Loop of Binding due to Gaia's choice. This seems to be to fill the vacancy of guardian of the land because Jin Mori became Maitreya.
Abilities and Powers[]
Control and sealing of divine and demonic powers
- Buddha used the crown to seal Sun Wukong's power as punishment for his rebellion against the gods of the Heavenly Realm.
- It is revealed that the main function of the crown is to help its wearer control their power. Park Mubong and the Four Pillars of Fate used the headband for this purpose. Jin Mori also used it to control his new power after becoming the god Maitreya and later it is seen how Park Taejin also uses his Loop of Binding for this same purpose, he obtained it when Gaia chose her as the new Guardian of Gaia.
Form Alteration
- The headband can change shape depending on the will of its user. We first see this when Hui Mori switches to a Monkey King Mode of his own and when Jin Mori uses Yongpyo's power and speed mode.
- The new crown that Jin Mori received from Tang Sanzang changes color as Jin Mori becomes the god Maitreya. Originally green when he accesses his new Monkey King Mode and turns red when he receives energy and Charyeok from all races (gods, humans, demons).
Regeneration
- The crown was shown to have its own regenerative ability when Park Mubong retrieved Jin Mori's original crown in perfect condition 17 years after it was damaged by Satanas during RagnarÖk.
