Before being pressed into service of the South Korean army, Gwangsu was promised by Mi Yeongyi to wait for his return, only to hear from Seong Min-I that she had cheated on him two days after he was sent into the Nonsan Army Training Centre.

Enraged at Yeongyi’s infidelity, Gwangsu deserted and travelled all the way to Chuncheon in Gangwon-do, where he took a group of diners in a dakgalbi restaurant near the Romantic Market as hostage. Holding off the surrounding military police while demanding Yeongyi to be brought to him, Gwangsu was taken out after Baek Yeonwoo had mirrors set up facing the dining hall for Eric Sin to generate his showroom.
