Summary[]
Gang Daehyeop finds himself in a dream where he sees through the eyes of Han Yewon her awe at him during the first interview with Shadow, her jealousy when witnessing his tenderness towards Violet while she was to him a ‘big sister’, and her helplessness as he heads off to fight Hajime Ryo alone, the last of which prompted her to declare to Sin Yunseong her determination for changing herself so that she will be able to assist as well as express her love to Gang Daehyeop.
Waking up to see Han Yewon glowing with six pairs of wings sprouting from her back which cover them like a barrier, Gang Daehyeop is reminded of the smell on the Shield Suit received from her before the battle with Yun Taesu, and subsequently discovers that all his wounds have healed including the severed arm. As Han Yewon notices he is no longer referring to her as ‘big sister’, Gang Daehyeop asks her to open the covering of wings so that he can beat up some bad guys and take her back home.
Hajime Ryo is surprised to see Gang Daehyeop’s arm regenerated and wounds healed, and realises Han Yewon’s Charyeok is some sort of healing power. Gang Daehyeop then walks out of the wings while igniting an aura that concentrates more power within himself, so Hajime Ryo manifests the black aura of his perfect form to counter, only to have Gang Daehyeop knee his face in with startling speed that buries him into a wall, before being told that he is already dead.
With a speed that makes him look like he had grown scores of fists, Gang Daehyeop continuously punches Hajime Ryo through the rock to carve out new tunnels under the New City, now that he has grown way stronger than when he fought Ban Sihyeon through battling fieldish adversaries and the repetition of fatigue and revivement in a short period. In the meantime despite the energy he drained healing his body, Hajime Ryo finds himself helpless to do anything. They finally break out of the artificial island and emerge in the sea, at which Gang Daehyeop grabs Hajime Ryo’s hair to stop him from surfacing while the currents drag them deeper, so in desparation Hajime Ryo blasts away the seawater in an explosion of aura and leaps ashore. Gang Daehyeop then offers to let the spluttering Hajime Ryo who gave him the best fight he had had leave, but in response Hajime Ryo gathers his full power to kill him. After both of them punch the other in the throat, the shockwave of which causes a storm, Gang Daehyeop spits a mouthful of seawater at high pressure that distracts Hajime Ryo and successfully lands heavy blows. However Hajime Ryo then grabs Gang Daehyeop in the neck in an unbreakable grip, though before he can drain his energy, Gang Daehyeop utilising the essence of street fighting kicks him in the crotch and slaps him in the ear, followed by pinning him with an elbow to the wave breakers.
At this moment the fighter jets of the Japanese self-defence force fly past, and in the distraction Hajime Ryo twists the leg Gang Daehyeop was about to kick him with to break free, before tossing Gang Daehyeop into a building and continuously beating him till they fall out the other side. Getting hit by Gang Daehyeop’s headbutt, Hajime Ryo orders nearby Marionettes to attack, only to find that similar to the encounter with Yun Taesu, they are reluctant to do so because of the fighting aura Gang Daehyeop is giving off. Gang Daehyeop seizes the moment to smash Hajime Ryo through a wrought-iron lattice tower, then while dodging the collapsing girders uproots an electric pole to serve as an improvised bat for performing a home-run strike on him.
Aware of the extreme damage he had taken, Hajime Ryo yearns for more power while fleeing from Gang Daehyeop through the commercial district all the way back to Nine Dragons Hall, only to discover in horror that not only are there no new energy to drain from the dying Yggdrasil, but the remaining Marionettes are also collapsing like dominoes thanks to Han Yewon’s handiwork. When Gang Daehyeop catches up to him as he vents his frustration on the dead tree, Hajime Ryo squeezes the last of his black aura into hammer shapes around his fists and charges.
However as the pair are about the clash, the fighter jets return for an attack run, shooting both of them with machine guns and leaving them bloodied on the rooftop. After Gang Daehyeop yells in anger at the jets, Hajime Ryo mockingly points out that neither the Japanese nor South Korean governments will care about friendly fire wounding the hero in the midst of battling the villain, since once the villain is defeated the hero will be seen as their greatest threat which needs to be killed. Understanding the meaning if not the language spoken, Gang Daehyeop lets the fact that the world is not always run by the rules of the righteous sink in, before declaring his acceptance of not being able to return to his normal life as long as he is able to eliminate evil villains like Hajime Ryo.
When the jets circle back for another run, Hajime Ryo leaps onto one of them to escape, so Gang Daehyeop leaps onto the other one in chase. However the pilots eject midair, leaving the jets to crash land into the seaside district. Managing to walk out of the crash, Hajime Ryo finds himself in an aquatic recreation shop, so he takes a waterjet ski to flee by sea. Yet to his shock, soon afterwards he finds himself pursued by a Gang Daehyeop who is sprinting on seawater and catching up fast, so he moulds his aura into a pair of black wings to fly into the sky. Unable to follow, Gang Daehyeop drops into the water as he watches more fighter jets attempting to give chase to Hajime Ryo over the mainland city.
