Summary[]
16 years ago in the jungles of southeast Africa where government troops and rebel forces were fighting, Vincent first met Hajime Ryo who was impressed by the prowess of his fellow mercenary. During rest time following a battle against rebels, Hajime Ryo caught sight of a photo of Vincent’s younger sister Sofia, and after asking for the photo while making fapping gestures got a combat knife thrown at him in response.
In Vincent’s home which is located within the red-light district of Shinjuku, Eric Sin looks at the photo of a young Vincent and Hajime Ryo posing alongside a smiling Sofia, then turns to look at her sleeping body currently in the terminal stage of pancreatic cancer. Vincent goes on to explain that just like Eric he also has a grudge against Nine Dragons and only joined it for the purpose of approaching Hajime Ryo, who was the one to shoot Eric’s mother dead. At this point Sofia wakes up but perceives Vincent as Hajime Ryo, so an incensed Eric seizes the chance to aim a revolver at Vincent’s head, whereas Vincent repeats that he is handing his life to Eric.
In Nagoya where the political situation among the local yakuza had already been tense ever since Ogawa Shinji established Nine Dragons there as a subsidiary of Yamaguchi-gumi, things came to a head after the beheading of Ogawa Shinji in a coup. As he beholds from Nine Dragons Hall grenades being used down in the battles on the streets of the New Project City against the other yakuza organisations coming to claim the bounty put on his head by Yamaguchi-gumi, Hajime Ryo tells a bloody Hazuki who had been involved in a skirmish that there is no honour among villains. Dismissing the concerns of his lieutenant about the situation, Hajime Ryo tells some underlings to escort Vincent when he arrives to the boss office, adjacent to which is the trunk of the Yggdrasil that had grown through the roof and wrapped its boughs all around the building thanks to all the drained bio-energy.
Deciding to desert from this catastrophe brought on by his madman boss, Hazuki drives off only to realise that he should claim the head of Hajime Ryo to beg for Yamaguchi-gumi’s forgiveness, but on his way back gets stopped by a familiar-looking Eric before being captured by Vincent. Hazuki later gets dumped bound and gagged in front of Nine Dragons Hall, and when some underlings ungag him they set off the grenades stuffed into his mouth, resulting in everyone in the vicinity being blown to pieces. Other underlings rush downstairs in response to the attack, only to be mowed down by Vincent wielding his casket now transformed into a wall of guns.
While the bio-energies fed into the Yggdrasil slow to a trickle because word had gotten out that putting on Dream Skulls will reduce Charyeok Users into dry husks, Hajime Ryo takes the treasure sword of Ogawa Shinji and walks down to the lobby where the underlings are being slaughtered. He makes a swing at Vincent that gets blocked, before revealing with the face just like 15 years ago how he already discovered who ‘V’ really is despite his brother-in-arms’ plastic surgery. Vincent then tells him about Sofia being on the verge of death after the successful heart transplant because of him, and when Hajime Ryo starts speaking of her stabs at him with a short sword. Hajime Ryo is quickly disarmed and sent flying, but when Vincent pins him down with a foot, he instead breaks Vincent’s ankle, then tosses him away with the power drained from 580 people. As Hajime Ryo approaches the battered and broken Vincent, he turns round to see in the lobby about a dozen floating mirrors as well as Eric.
Eric starts to generate his show time stage, only to have Hajime Ryo shatter the mirrors with a bellow and grab onto him using unbelievable strength. As Hajime Ryo recognises Eric, both Vincent and Eric open fire on his head, yet their powerful firearms still barely scratches Hajime Ryo.
