Summary[]
Gerald who leads a comfortable life as a banker in London while keeping his teleportation Charyeok a secret receives the Dream Skull he had ordered online, and laughing at those suckers who lined up at the fake sales event in Paddington, he tries out the Dream Skull that has a glowing green stone on it. As furious buyers turn into booligans and fight with the police, Eugene who as part of his underworld Charyeok broker business is currently touting Dream Skulls ignores the unrest outside, and with some business partners moves the boxes of inventory while wearing one of them himself. Meanwhile over at the Römerplatz in Frankfurt, Marco shows off the Dream Skull he had gotten early to his friends, none of whom try to snatch it out of fear of Marco’s brawn and Charyeok, and puts it on for a test run.
Entering the headquarters of Nine Dragons, Sakura Yui and Hiro realise that it had been usurped by Hajime Ryo, yet pay no attention since their goal is to find clues about the Key. Waiting for them at Yamato’s underground laboratory, Hajime Ryo boasts about his coup, before showing Sakura Yui who brings up the matter of repercussions the Ouroborus that can track down locations of the Dream Skulls he had without Yamato’s knowledge already distributed all over Europe and North America. When Sakura Yui notices only hundreds of Dream Skulls on the display instead of the 50 million announced by Yamato, Hajime Ryo explains that unlike the ‘junk’ Yamato had created using the scraps of Energy Stones, the Dream Skulls here are made with real Energy Stones that Abel had said can suck Charyeok. As he talks about how these Dream Skulls can pinpoint the wearers who possess Charyeok, Sakura Yui who is surprised at the mention of Abel’s name inquires Hajime Ryo when had they met, to which Hajime Ryo answers that he first met Abel around the time of the experiment on her, then shows her the Yggdrasil Abel had helped him on.
While Han Yewon and Yu Chiyeoung try to pacify Sin Taepung who is angrily grabbing a Gang Daehyeop refusing to meddle with the affairs of other countries, Violet Ella Wong Perez catches the punch Sin Taepung is about to throw, before tripping the field agent onto the floor to demonstrate how badly injured he currently is. Han Yewon then tells Sin Taepung to calm down now that Yamato is dead, at which Sin Taepung reveals Sin Yunseong’s isolative state and that all other Shadow employees at the hospital now being watched by government agents as well as the lack of news about Eric Sin. Yu Chiyeoung subsequently voices his support of Gang Daehyeop’s stance because at this point they should be concerned over their own internal affairs especially the issue of Shadow’s survival, with Gang Daehyeop stating that they now need to fight defensively.
Sukura Yui is astonished that instead of Yamato’s research equipment, now the laboratory is occupied by the roots of the World Tree that Hajime Ryo plans to have take root in the hearts of everybody in the world. He elaborates that Abel had suggested the idea of using the Energy Stones in tandem with the Ouroboros, so Charyeok Users wearing Dream Skulls will get their bio-energy sucked through the Ouroboros and into the Yggdrasil. Ignoring a Sakura Yui shocked at how all these years he had been collaborating with Abel who had supplied the Energy Stones as he awaited the chance the usurp the Ouroboros, Hajime Ryo unleashes the Charyeok he received from Abel that the unique physiology he now has allows him to indefinitely possess.
To the horror of their mother, partners and friends respectively, Gerald, Eugene and Marco turn into dry husks as their bio-energies are drained by the Dream Skulls. Aghast at Hajime Ryo’s madness, Sakura Yui commands Hiro to kill him, yet Hajime Ryo generates a Barrier around himself and the Yggdrasil with the Charyeok drained from the Charyeok Users worldwide to block the stab. Hiro thus goes into full armour to make an overhead swing, only to have Hajime Ryo single-handedly catch with his fingers the strike capable of breaking Ban Sihyeon’s Barrier, before crushing down on Hiro with a crater-making force. At this Sakura Yui tries to enact mind control, but Hajime Ryo blows a gale that tosses her onto the Yggdrasil in order to break her concentration. Grabbing the stunned Sakura Yui by her hair, Hajime Ryo muses that being personally powerful is much more reliable than using armies and weapons. Sakura Yui tries to plead by claiming that she only wants to look for the Key and isn’t aiming to fight him, however Hajime Ryo goes on to ‘help’ solve her Charyeok problem by slowly draining all the bio-energy out of her.
In the dead of the night, Gang Daehyeop sneaks out of Eric Sin’s home office to head for the railway depot, and upon finding the cargo train serving as Shadow’s headquarters securely locked up by Park Jinoh to deter police access, uses his Charyeok to rip the door off. He subsequently gets surprised by Han Yewon who had followed him, before she points out that he is here to recover Oracles and uniforms in order to travel to Japan alone without endangering the others. Gang Daehyeop then admits he had used his true powers to beat up Hiro despite knowing that he isn’t a bad guy due to the shock of witnessing Yamato whimsically shooting innocent civilians dead, so now he cannot let such villains roam free. When Han Yewon questions why is he still acting the superhero even though Shadow is shut down and he is currently a wanted fugitive, Gang Daehyeop paraphrases Sin Yunseong saying that he has to save the world because nobody else can. Han Yewon then divulges how distressed she was during the final interview as she watched Gang Daehyeop march off to face Yun Taesu alone, so this time she will not make the same mistake and will be going along with him.
