Summary[]
Sakura Yui was listening to Rana Del Ray’s Young and Beautiful while lounging on Hiro’s lap, when Yamato bursted into the waiting room telling her of the commotion outside, which she deduced is the work of Gang Daehyeop whose presence she had already detected. She then revealed she had tried to use her Charyeok already, but somebody else’s power had cancelled it out. Frustrated at his plans going awry, Yamato ordered the accompanying Sheep to bring Seo Yuri here, but his requests to Sakura Yui about helping him escape back to Japan were met with refusal now that she didn’t need his ‘drugs’ any more, so Yamato disclosed that he had yet to divulge the real way for her to escape the ‘spider’ and achieve true freedom.
On the night before ‘D-Day’, Yu Chiyeoung explained to Gang Daehyeop that during the Cold War, there had been research into training spies who would not divulge any secrets upon capture even if torture or truth serum are used, thus the Berserker Program that enacts a control on the mind stronger than mind control through chips implanted in the frontal lobe of the brain was created. Now he had modified it into programming code uploaded into the second generation of Oracle developed by Johnson and Esna, but it should only be activated when battling Sakura Yui because a timer will shut it down after 5 minutes to prevent prolonged usage causing the wearer to think of nothing but destruction.
Sin Yunseong accompanied by Lee Sujin confronts Yamato and his escorts at the emptied lobby of BEXCO to accept the earlier declaration of war, and ignoring Justin who is delighted at the chance to personally exact vengeance, Yamato admits he knows how to revert Marionettes back to normal, though he refuses to divulge it. Sakura Yui orders Hiro to lead Yamato through the back door to the hotel over at Dongbaekseom Island atop which a helicopter is waiting, and as Sin Yunseong stops time she breaks his casting to prevent him getting at Yamato before pushing him down.
After Lee Sujin leaves now that she had fulfilled her promise of protecting the civilians from mind control, Sakura Yui summons 50 Marionettes wearing Dream Skulls who were geared up beforehand to become henchmen and were too deeply influenced to have their mind control cancelled. Sin Yunseong informs Gang Daehyeop with the help of Han Yewon where Yamato had fled to, then ignoring Park Jinoh’s concerns prepares to kill Sakura Yui, and casts a command on himself to only think of killing his enemy in a parody of the Berserker Program which has been activated in Gang Daehyeop’s Oracle.
While the police under Baek Yeonwoo’s orders announce there are reports of explosives in the products and evacuate the crowds before somebody makes off with the Dream Skulls, Gang Daehyeop starts feeling the effects of the Berserker Program as images of violence and gore flood through his consciousness. His observation of Gang Daehyeop lashing out at anyone in his path like a brainwashed soldier cut off by attacking Marionettes, Sin Yunseong sees them to be just like the African slaves in the United States of America who were regular people but got treated as dehumanised property simply because of skin colour. When Gang Daehyeop reciting his vow of not beating up innocents that he made at the time his Charyeok awakened smashes at the floor to disperse the police and civilians from his sight, Sin Yunseong feels pity for the Marionettes leaping at him as he unsheaths his short sword and dices and slices them apart before cutting Sakura Yui in two, yet to his shock Sakura Yui coolly converses with him while black smoke billows from her bisected body.
Covering Yamato and Justin’s escape away from BEXCO, Hiro takes a heavy punch from Gang Daehyeop and is sent flying into a car, only to jump back out without damage in an explosion. Introducing himself as ‘Hero’, Hiro pulls out a bastard sword as Gang Daehyeop tries to get past him. Meanwhile, Ban Sihyeon walks into a staff room at the top of BEXCO to find a bloody Seo Yuri surrounded by Sheep, and so with a sorrowful smile sentences everyone to death.
