Summary[]

As Gang Daehyeop focuses on attacking the limbs so that he can disable without killing while the Sin Taepung alongside him pragmatically smashes the masked attackers to pulp, he cannot shake the notion that he had permanently handicapped those he had beaten. Then more masked attackers arrive to spray the pair with bullets without a care for their masked companions embroiled in melee, and noticing an attacker with a broken arm shooting mindlessly at the ground Gang Daehyeop deduces that they are being controlled. When an enemy bazooka missile lands among a masked group and blasts them into bloody pieces, Gang Daehyeop sees one of the attackers with his mask and lower body blown off begging to be killed, before Sin Taepung tackles him down as the attacker blows himself up with a grenade that also brings part of the tunnel down.

In a container truck parked outside one of the Shadow headquarters’ entrances where mask camera videos of the operation underground are shown, Justin asks Yamato what those masked underlings are, so Yamato explains that when researching Energy Stones damaged by chemical reactions he discovered Charyeok Codes, which when installed into the white masks send signals that affect the wearer’s parietal lobes to make them into Marionettes controlled by Charyeok. As Yamato boasts about owning the perfect soldiers who neither ask for pay nor complain, Justin deduces that Yamato who is planning a coup against Nox must have a supply of Energy Stones from somewhere. Just when Yamato tells Justin to whom he hands a mask to not mind being ugly especially now that Sin Yunseong is dead, an unconvinced Justin notices the screens for the force sent through the emergency exit passageway had gone dark. Speculating there is some kind of Charyeok jamming down there, Yamato predicts the Marionettes will fall out of his control and go berserk. He accordingly changes the plan to cut the signal to every Marionette in the tunnel so they all become berserk, then prepares to deploy the Apache helicopter Katy Perry that he controls like a drone.

Sin Taepung uses the currents of the blast to shield himself and Gang Daehyeop while blowing away the Marionettes, but as more of them pour into the tunnel their masks start turning red due to Yamato’s Charyeok signals being cut off, making them drop down their weapons and throw themselves at the pair like frenzied beasts. Beset on all sides by madmen who while exhibiting inhuman strength are oblivious to their bodies being torn apart by overexertion, the pair tries their best not to let even a single one of them pass, when they hear Yu Chiyeoung yelling the passageway is found. Told by Sin Taepung to withdraw first, Yu Chiyeoung carries a spent Han Yewon to follow Park Jinoh and the rest through. Immolating his aura stronger to push back the Marionettes, Gang Daehyeop realises he had fought them all the way back to the entrance of the capsule train line where more Marionettes are dropping in. Knowing there’s only rock above him, Gang Daehyeop tells the exhausted Sin Taepung behind him to run, before punching the tunnel walls to cause a cave in.

As the Katy Perry hovers above the Han River, Yamato spies Gang Daehyeop and Sin Taepung through the hole that opened up after the cave in, and inputs the commands for firing missiles at them.

Down in the tunnel, Johnson who has one arm unarmoured in order to shoot sees the masks of the dead or dying Marionettes turn red, and yells at Park Jinoh to hurry with setting explosives around the sealed passageway entrance.

Back at the headquarters, Eric Sin becomes a million star illusionist who conjures up rows upon rows of cannons to fire Marionettes into the air where they denonate.

Just as all the Shadow employees except for Johnson and Esna had entered the passageway, the hellfire missiles Yamato had fired send the Han River gushing into the tunnel.
