Summary[]

Eric Sin explains to an anguished Sin Taepung that Sin Yunseong had taken the bomb with him to high up in the air, while Gang Daehyeop believes the impending attack is his fault since Violet Ella Wong Perez knew the secret headquarters’ location and may have spilled it out after being tortured by Nox. Just when Sin Taepung angrily strikes Gang Daehyeop down, attack alarms begin blaring all over the headquarters.

As Gang Daehyeop blames himself for endangering everyone ever since he followed the Sin brothers into Park Jinoh’s office where all the employees are gathered to observe on CCTV the attackers advancing through the emergency exit, Park Jinoh tries to console the usually boisterous high school student before pondering that Violet must have read Sin Yunseong’s mind for the enemy to know about the secret getaway route. With escape impossible because the attackers are converging from every entry, Park Jinoh prepares to activate the headquarters’ self-destruct program, but when Esna questions the necessity he recalls there is a passageway leading to a deserted bunker he had ordered sealed off during construction of the capsule train that even Sin Yunseong doesn’t know about. At that Sin Taepung volunteers to take the lead, with Yu Chiyeoung, Johnson, Han Yewon and many other employees joining in to help take on any attackers they encounter, yet Eric declares that he won’t leave.

Wearing the same expression he had the night he disappeared Hwang Ildo, Eric reveals that he had seen the masks the attackers are wearing before, and asks for permission codes to activate the self-destruct program. Sin Taepung subsequently accepts his decision and heads off, followed by the others directed by Park Jinoh who recalls Sin Yunseong had once said that everybody in Shadow will be dead should Eric ever decide to turn against them.

Having strived to bury the memory of his parents being brutally murdered by gangsters but still remembering the masks, Eric changes to a magician’s outfit as he waits for the masked attackers and V to arrive in the office. When V swiftly shoots to kill, Eric catches the bullet with his teeth before using his Path to activate the self-destruct program, which shut everyone inside barricades of mirrors for his showtime to begin.

Despite Johnson and Yun Chiyeoung opening fire weaponry retrieved from the armoury while under the protection of Han Yewon’s Barrier that is blocking return fire, the undeterred attackers still swarm through the train tunnel at the Shadow employees looking for the sealed doorway. At this moment a reinvigourated Gang Daehyeop activates his Charyeok, and trusting in his suit’s bulletproof properties he charges through a hail of bullets to beat the masked attackers down. As Han Yewon yells the astonished support employees out of their stupor before Sin Taepung rushes into the fight, she becomes moved by the valour of the three field agents.

After taking a shower and helping himself to a drink as well as a change of clothes, Yun Taesu takes an ice pack containing severed fingers to a delirious Violet wrapped in a blanket, before carrying her out of the hideout filled with the impaled carcasses of Nox followers.
