Summary[]
Justin disdainfully oversees the foreign extremists who had newly joined Nox loading the trucks in the S International headquarters’ underground car park, and when confirming with the one who set up the Jihad Doll made in his image that is currently riding in Sin Yunseong’s car if it will self destruct, gets told it will only do so if it is still within a kilometre radius of him. Vexed, Justin orders the Sheep to follow him onto a truck so they can chase after Sin Yunseong, all the while plotting to gain power so that he can rise higher in Nox and get back at Violet Ella Wong Perez, who is in the process of directing the looting of S International’s computers and documents.
Violet then flashes back to how growing up in the impoverished slums of Manila as a mixed child to a father who was later widowed, she had to beg or steal to feed her baby brother, yet he still ended up dying. Despairing at a statue of the Madonna, she is approached by Sang Mandeok, who told her that she should be praying for vengeance on those responsible instead. Following Sang Mandeok after his baptism of her awakened Charyeok, Violet started reading all kinds of foul or dishonourable thoughts in people’s minds including those of Park Mujin and Sin Yunseong. Yet Gang Daehyeop is the first person she read whose mind is pure, making her hesitant to kill him.
Gang Daehyeop notices too late an oncoming truck speeding to hit him, and subsequent to being sent flying sees it coming back for another run. Enraged, Gang Daehyeop goes into Super Hero Mode and throws a punch that flips the truck over. Pinned down with a mortal wound, the driver who is oblivious to Gang Daehyeop’s questioning in Korean mutters a prayer and invokes Nox’s name before setting off explosives.
At the police blockade around the abandoned apartment complex Yun Taesu took residence in, Superintendant Baek Yeonwoo is feeling irritated at the police being ordered to simply keep an eye on a serial murderer so that civilians instead can come along and do their job, so he arbitrarily commands his men to go inside.
Having instinctively used her Barrier to shield both of them from the explosion of Justin’s doll, Han Yewon calls out Sin Yunseong for using the burning wreckage of his car to light a smoke. Explaining that Justin is a spy from Nox sent to kill him, Sin Yunseong then gets a call reporting about an explosion in the S International headquarters’ underground car park just as expected, and also that Gang Daehyeop was at the scene. He is further told that Jeon Jaesan had called to notify them satellite hacks have indicated the police are moving out to take action against Yun Taesu. When the call from his master is patched through, Sin Yunseong surprises him by being glad the police are taking the initiative and declaring that he is banning the satellite hacks from now on. After ending the conversation, Sin Yunseong determines to proceed with the mission as the explosion at the S International headquarters has been anticipated, and Han Yewon chooses to go with him. Meanwhile, Yun Taesu wakes to the moonlight and anticipates bloodshed.
