Summary[]
Sin Yunseong displays the Injector that can erase someone’s Charyeok, before explaining to the outraged candidates that since South Korean law doesn`t cover matters regarding Charyeok, it falls to Shadow to counteract those who use Charyeok to commit crimes, and that none of the candidates had never used Charyeok for something illegal, thus all of them are criminals in his eyes.
In a Gyeongsangnam-do country town where Yun Taesu had once escaped to, he talked an old woman living by herself into lending him a room, where he planned to hide in wait for Jegal Taek whenever the latter is not in Seoul.
As the interview begins, Sin Yunseong summons a crowd of shooting soldiers to send the candidates into a panic, and starts to use the Injector on them one-by-one as disqualification. Some candidates try to fight back, only to have Sin Yunseong hasten his movements while projecting many images of himself to take them down, and some remaining candidates in their panic become unable to use their Charyeok. After he electrifies some candidates, he is nearly stabbed by the frost blade of Justin, who points out the soldiers are actually illusions but subsequently gets tripped over by a surprise move. Sin Yunseong proceeds to declare that Justin has passed the first test and gets to leave, before going on to disqualify the candidates who try to jump him all at once. He then encounters Han Yewon hiding within her impenetrable Barrier, and after some inquiry tells her she can advance to the next round.
Sin Yunseong finally turns on Gang Daehyeop, the last candidate remaining, who shrugs off the executive’s attacks and proves impervious to the Injector, before venting his frustration at not being able to participate in the G.O.H. Tournament on the headquarters building, causing a shockwave felt even by Violet Ella Wong Perez as she converses with a group of kneeling men down in the underground car park. Gang Daehyeop then wields the artificial leg of a disqualified candidate like a sword to attack Sin Yunseong until it breaks, so a Sin Yunseong impressed by Gang Daehyeop’s physical abilities enhances his strength till it matches an ogre. But as Eric Sin catches sight of Sin Taepung trying to head for a revenge match with Yun Taesu and manages to talk him out of it, Sin Yunseong gets a great shock when Gang Daehyeop catches his punch with a Charyeok-infused hand before throwing a powerful one back that gets pulled at the last moment. His anger fading, Gang Daehyeop sees the G.O.H. Nationals have already started and departs, leaving Sin Yunseong determining that he is not one to abuse his Charyeok.
