Summary[]
As the date for the circus to move elsewhere approached, Bass was told by Eric Sin how albatrosses fly by harnessing the power of storms, and that Minsu whom he had fattened up to be a distraction from his life of slavery would become unable to fly. Later after a chastising from Hwang Ildo who had accepted payment from the local supermarket owner for something, Bass heard that the circus was packing up to leave tomorrow because of an oncoming storm and thus went back to the beach for Minsu, only to find out in horror that Eric had killed and buried her because the flightless albatross will only starve or get eaten.
While getting strangled by a furious Bass, Eric called him out as a hypocrite for feeding the albatross while blind to the fact she was suffering from the batteries she had swallowed, and that his awakening Charyeok was manifesting his wish to be free of his abusive and alcoholic foster father. Maddened by Eric’s repeated taunts, Bass’s Charyeok fully awakened as he sucked the power of the storm around his fists, before jumping into the air for his first successful flight.
