"Huh? H..hey? Hold on... I'm still transforming... okay?!" |
Above and Beneath the Heavens, I Alone am the Great One is the Charyeok of Gang Daehyeop.
Appearance[]
Upon usage, this Charyeok changes his eye colour, makes his hair stand up straighter, and ignites a golden aura that burns around his body.
Abilities[]
Unlike many other Charyeoks, this Charyeok is one that draws its power from Gang Daehyeop’s self-esteem and mental state. Therefore it can be affected if Gang Daehyeop suffers mental trauma or fatigue, though in the case of mental fatigue it can still be utilised if he manages to squeeze out more power through sheer willpower.
Physical Enhancement: It greatly enhances all of its user’s physical capabilities, such as granting strength that can toss trucks and punch through hundreds of metres of rock, endurance that can withstand being hit by a speeding train, and speed that allows sprinting atop water.
Techniques[]
- Final Form: Super Hero
- Used with Gang Daehyeop Original
Trivia[]
- The appearance of this Charyeok is based off the Super Saiyan from the Japanese manga Dragon Ball, while its techniques are based off those used by the American superhero character Superman.
- The phrase “天上天下唯我獨尊” is the East Asian translation of a Buddhist quote that is said the be the first words uttered by the Buddha soon after his birth. Its actual meaning is something like “each and everyone in the universe encompasses the clean and pure roots of Buddhism, therefore only our true nature is respectable”.
However, as the millennia rolled on, people started misinterpreting this phrase as one that expresses arrogant conceit, prompting Gang Daehyeop to use it for naming his Charyeok since it makes him so great. This misconception is no small cause of vexation for Buddhist followers, and as Eric Sin puts it, if somebody utilises this phrase the way Gang Daehyeop does when in the vicinity of Buddhist temples or shrines, then they are simply asking to be pelted by a barrage of prayer beads.
